TRAI's SMS Regulations & Online Free sms service websites

Lot of people use the online services provided by way2sms.com , 160by2.com, etc.. to send free SMS to friends & others.
But now TRAI ( Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ) is bringing up restrictions on sending SMS.
The impact to people using the online free SMS services are:

  • You are not allowed to send any message from 9PM to 9AM(any day).

  • Your messages won't get delivered to your friends who are registered in "Do Not Disturb" Registry.

  • You are not allowed to send Messages with your Mobile number as sender.

And also the the normal mobile users could send only maximum of 100 sms per day. Thus the mobile operators have to stop their unlimited SMS packs.

The SMS service has evolved as the cheapest way of communication in India. This restriction is a set back to customers, mobile operators and the online free SMS service websites.

These regulations will be made practice from 27th September.

What do you think of this SMS regulation by TRAI?

Adsense ads coming with +1 button

AdSense display ads will now feature the +1 button. From the next month, Google will introduce the +1 button and personal recommendations to display ads. The +1 button will begin to appear on AdSense for Content and AdSense for Mobile Content display ad formats -- image, animated gif, and Flash. +1s will be one additional signal to help determine an ad's relevance and google will continue to show the ads that will generate the most revenue for the publishers.
Google has previously launched the +1 button on Google search and for publisher sites to make it easier for people to share and discover content across the web. Soon, publisher's users will be able to endorse specific ads and make the ads more likely to appear to their social connections. Google believe that these recommendations could help publisher's readers notice ads on their site more, leading to higher returns for you over time. If the publishers prefer not to show the +1 buttons on display ads on their pages, they can opt out in their account.
